April in Photographs

This is what my April looked like:
My roommate Kat and I both share April birthdays (Taurus rule) so we decided to host a Princess tea party! The theme was pink and girly and delicious. Well, Kat wasn’t having any of it, and wore a blue dress. But she was also the birthday girl, so we decided it was acceptable.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you all for giving me the honor of being Freshly Pressed for the 4th time in 9 months. The lucky post was How to start your day like a rockstar and believe me, waking up to an inbox full of blog comments, likes and subscriptions definitely made my morning routine that much more rock-star-ish.

Pink and Blue Cupcake Tuesday

Today I got home from school and decided I would make boy and girl cupcakes for everybody in the house. Blue for the boys and pink for the girls, obviously.
And then Marie changed into the beautiful blue dress Michelle and I bought her for her birthday and what started out as a little bit of food photography and eating the batter from the bowls, turned into an impromptu photoshoot right there in our kitchen. I mean…professional photography studio.
Happy September!

I love the first of any month. I especially love the first of this month because it is:
