From time to time I receive e-mails from readers of this blog. I think that is a beautiful thing and I am humbled that you would share such intimate and beautiful aspects of your life with me. With that, I have noticed that there a couple of questions that resides in the hearts of many people!
One commonly asked question is about love and relationships. Should you stay or should you leave? Is it “spiritually okay” to leave? How do you generate the internal strength to stay and persevere in love?
The other commonly asked question is in regards to your dharma in life and how to discover it. I have gotten e-mails from so many people who are worried that they are talentless and without a calling in life. And that is what I want to talk about today.

Lately I have been thinking a lot about the moon. When I practice my Namaskar Meditation each morning, many times my heart has gone to the beautiful moon. I have been feeling a desire to deepen my practice by honouring the influence of the moon on my being.
With today being a New Moon, I am inspired to write about the moon and it’s divine feminine energy.

Summer is coming to a close and my heart is ready for the winter months, for shedding of my old skin and creating warmth from within. Here are photographs of some moments of summer.
30 minutes of yoga
Every day
For 30 days
From the beautiful comfort of your own home.
Today I wanted to share a wonderful online yoga resource for all yogis and aspiring yogis reading this blog.
Over the last few years I have been compiling a list of lessons I am learning and realizations I am experiencing in a beloved notebook of mine. I often reflect and read over them myself.
I wrote a post similar to this when I was 21 in the post 40 life lessons on growing up. In just the few years that have passed, so much has evolved. I feel a deeper relationship with life and myself than I ever have before. It’s nice to look at the lessons I knew to be true at 21, and look at what I believe to be true now, at 25. In my heart I hold so much gratitude for these 25 years of life.
So, here it is; a collection of what I know to be true. It is a long list, so make yourself a delicious hot drink, sit back, and enjoy.
Namaste.

Your spiritual awakening is a private and personal experience. You can listen to others about their experiences, but ultimately, you must have your own.
Joy is more important than pleasure. And you should learn the difference.
The highest form of yoga is meditation.
Never call another person ugly. Even as a “joke”.

I would like to invite you to join me in 30 day spiritual transformation.
The intention of this transformation is to become a more joyful, more loving, more stable human being.
The intention of this transformation is to build strength of self, and to deepen our connection to a higher power.
Some time ago I wrote a post called “Karma and Dharma: An Introduction.” which is basically a really basic description of a complex topic. Today I would like to go a bit deeper into the subject of Karma and why it is important for us to break free from our Karma.
From the moment you were born to this very moment that you are reading this post, you have accumulated karma. Everything you have done, or not done, everything you have thought, felt and said, your family, your home, your friends, your experiences – all these things have become inputs for your karma. Each thing influences who you are today. It is life memory. Even the way you think, feel and experience your life is influenced by your past inputs. Your body, your mind, your emotions and your energies is coloured by your karma.
In life we can get our emotions and energies in all kinds of tangles. Forgiveness is the release of a karmic knot.
It is a release. But it’s not something that be taught. It is not something you can read about, then close your eyes tightly and will yourself to do. Feelings are thick and heavy and gooey, they take time to be shifted, to move, to change direction. If you are waiting for a moment where you “feel forgiving”, it won’t come. Because forgiveness is not a feeling. Peace is a feeling and you will feel that when you forgive. Forgiveness is a force and “force” means that it requires some action, some movement in a certain direction. It is a direction of living.
Look at the areas in your life, the spaces in your soul that need to be healed. Take some time. Take a day, take a week. Take some time to understand that there are things that you need to heal from.
Sometimes we feel compelled to put labels on ourselves, on other people, on situations. I think this is how we attempt to make sense of life.
I think the first mistake we make is feeling we need to define ourselves and others.
The second is letting ourselves be defined by others.
