Hi guys – meet my husband! Can you tell that he is just so enthusiastic to be on his first ever youtube video?!
May 2017 Favourites
I have seen a lot of youtubers do these monthly favourite videos and that inspired me to create my own! I should tell you though that this list is not really my May favourites, rather more like SOME of my 2017 favourites so far. I think that if I were to continue doing these monthly favourites, they would be much smaller in size.
Also, I find that taking photographs of “things” – especially products purchased, and then writing product descriptions – is quite a joyless activity for me. Product descriptions from their own websites will do a much better job of that. So this post is probably not going to be very informative or detailed but, rather my experiences surrounding these various things.
I’ve split the category in Beauty/Fashion, Home, Food/drink, Heart/ Mind & Soul. Something for everyone!
So here you go, some of my favourite things:
A home away from home
A few years ago, I used to share photographs each month of the life that has happened in that time. Somewhere along the line, I decided to stop sharing so many personal things about me.
But lately, I have had a change of heart. The stories of my life is the unique path I take to my own liberation. My own journey to bliss. And for me, that is something worth sharing.
Any one can read a text book on spirituality. In fact, there are blogs out there that serve as much better and more reliable sources of spiritual knowledge, than my writings. And if that was what people wanted to read, they would undoubtedly find them instead. So I don’t think that’s why you read my blog. And quite honestly, that isn’t why I write my blog, either.
Anyway, I digress.
A few weeks ago I wrote a post on being more open with you. And that is something I still wish to do. So, Today, I share with you all the life that has happened since I went back to my parents home in BC for the last 10 days.
There is something wrong with my SLR ( 🙁 ), so these photographs were taken with my cell phone.

A Facebook page & being more open
Heeeey from snapchat.
A conversation with my cousin Jay inspired me to be more open and personal on my blog. He said I do a good job on snapchat, and I said, “well, yeah, that’s because I have all of 7 friends on snapchat” and so I can be my usual, goofy, pranky self (I LOVE playing pranks).
I used to write openly on here, a few years ago. It felt easy for me. I used to tell the stories of my life and share photographs of moments and memories. And then I went through a stage where I felt “No one wants to hear that, Malavika! Just be serious” and then cue me writing like a textbook.

A life well lived: How to nourish your mind, body & soul every day
I have really been indulging in my blog for the last few weeks, but today I have a short and sweet post for you.
Every day I try to nourish myself so that I may grow into a happier person and live a beautiful and blessed life. It is a daily practice because a life well lived, a charmed life, is created one day at a time.
Writing this post has reminded me how simple it is to nourish and nurture yourself every day.
I ask myself these questions:

Lifestyle series: Beauty products I like
Today I wanted to share something that I don’t often (if ever?!) write about on my blog – which is about some beauty products that I like!
