St Patrick’s day – the irish way!

This is a very long post. But it’s all photographs so, that’s okay!

Happy St. Patrick’s day!

When it comes to posts about things like this I rather just show you the photographs rather than explain anything. It may be poor blogging practice on my part, but hey, a picture says a 1000 words. Enjoy.

I know, I forgot to wear green (how could I?!) BUT, I did wear green underwear. Phew.

Secondly, shopping!

Morange by MAC. I know it’s orange. I KNOW. But I am just so drawn to it. I think orange is like the “red” for my skin colour. It’s a little bit strange but I love it!

Oh, and I also have this obsession for over-the-knee/knee high socks. These are my pink ones. I realize they make me look like little bo peep.

Thirdly, dinner with Michelle

Michelle was away the last couple of days because she was playing matches in Waterford. She won her match and was getting home late so I thought I would make us a nice dinner 🙂 This is what happened:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SPECIAL GIRL DEVAKI

She is 8 today.

I’ve known her since she was born.

And I miss her sooooo much sometimes. We have the best times together. She is a very special girl and I can’t WAIT to see her grow up into a powerful and beautiful woman. I just cannot wait to see who she is becoming.

I am lucky to have this cutie in my life.

Happy birthday babygirl! Machi loves you very very very very very very much and wishes she could be with you on this special day.

The life of April (so far) in photographs

Here is the life so far in photographs of my beautiful puppy April. I am going to love her forever and ever.

When she was a baby, she was shy.

She would eat her food quietly and without any fuss. She had so much puppyfat on her face! Awwww.

She would model for me sometimes, but pretty soon she would try to attack my camera. Now she’s used to it.

She would love to sleep with the shoes.

I made sure I gave her plenty of cuddles all the time.

This was April’s first bath time, and she truly hated it. Even today, she doesn’t really enjoy water. I don’t know what’s up with that – she is supposed to be a lab.

Om nom nom sticks!

We could give her a bone but she doesn’t want a bone….

She wants to wreck my mom’s gorgeous plant instead.

And now she’s all grown up! Running through meadows!

Ah but adulthood came with a price. She had to have all her ladyparts out 🙁 She had to walk around with this silly cone on her head for a week. She hated it.

We play in the snow together, and she will pose for photographs.

My current favourite photo of my girl.

I once read somewhere that one of the most fullfilling things you can do in your life is to have a close relationship with an animal. Since I got April, I couldn’t agree more. She is very loved by all of us.

Ireland Explored: Ashford Castle

Ashford Castle. The architecture and gardens were so beautiful. And it was also a lovely day, which only made things even more perfect!

This is a little stone fishing house built near the monastery for the monks. Apparently they even had it set up so that whenever they caught fish, a bell would ring inside the abbey so that the cook’s would know that there was fresh fish available. Smart monks!
