Did you read my previous post about Life Themes – a way to organize making changes in your life? My theme for this week is De-cluttering. Are you stuck for a theme?  Let’s do it together. Team support and all that. We start tomorrow. So here’s our plan for the week, it’s pretty simple really:

Theme: De-cluttering

Our goal: Get rid of all the things in our home that we don’t need or love.

How we are going to do it:

1. Split your household into different areas/regions/rooms.

2. Each day spend at least 30 minutes a day in that area of your home decluttering (1 hour would be awesome: You could split it up into two 30 minute sessions, or four 15 minute de-cluttering parties.)

There. That’s it. It’s that simple. After a week of doing this, we WILL notice a difference. Let’s make more space in our lives for the things we love.

We have one week. You may feel that it is too short and you need longer. That’s fine. But first complete the week, before deciding to extend your deadline. Just put in a week. Move from room to room, every day, even if you don’t complete a room completely. The purpose of a week is to make a solid foundation of change. It’s up to you where you take it from there.

Are you down?

    1. Totally. As a home owner I am sure it is essential to have regular and scheduled ig de-cluttering sessions every few months! Rearranging furniture is great too. It not only gives you a fresh new look, but I personally feel it also brings some new energy into your home, allowing the energy to flow in different routes and ways. Either way, it’s a good thing! Thank you for sharing what you do 🙂 x

  1. We’re moving to a new appartment on Sunday, and we’ve just started packing -wich gives us the chance to sort trough everything we don’t need anymore. I’m down!! 🙂

    1. That’s great! I want to get rid of so many things before I move home as well. There’s no use moving your unwanted crap from one place to another place. Best wishes for your new home. xxx

  2. I am down, but it’s definitely going to take me more than a week, but of course that’s exactly what I should start with…

    1. It’s going to take me more than a week too, but the weekly themes are not about finishing, they are just about beginnings 🙂 Good luck and thank you for commenting!

    2. Oh and also, I think the week is actually a good time frame to refocus, because people tend to get bored very quickly. It’s nice to have 4 different themes a month, and then, if you wished, you could repeat themes in the following month to simply amplify their effect.
